DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAD TO GROW UP TOO FAST BECAUSE OF ALCOHOL OR ADDICTION AT HOME? YOU’RE NOT ALONE—THIS GROUP IS FOR TEENS WHO UNDERSTAND.

❋ For Teens Growing Up Around Alcohol or Addiction

This group is for teens who:

• Have a parent, caregiver, or family member who struggles with alcohol
• Feel like they had to grow up too fast
• Often feel more mature than other teens
• Feel responsible for things that shouldn’t be their job
• Struggle with anxiety, stress, or always being “on edge” at home
• Don’t feel like they fit in traditional support groups
• Want a place to talk with other teens who understand

❋ Expert Facilitation

I created this group because I grew up with two parents who struggled with alcoholism. I remember feeling too young for adult support groups and not fully relating to other teens, and I don’t want other teens to feel that same kind of loneliness. In this group I get what you’re feeling because i’ve been there too. I am creating a space where I want you to feel free to be authentically yourself, without having to hide some of the hardest parts of your life. Im here to walk with you and hopefully teach you some skills on how to cope throughout your life. 

❋ A Supportive Space

This group offers a supportive space for teens who have been affected by alcohol or addiction at home. Share openly, feel understood, and learn tools to manage stress and build healthy boundaries.

In This Group Teens Will:

• Learn how addiction affects families
• Understand the roles kids often take on in alcoholic homes
• Talk openly in a safe, supportive environment
• Learn tools to manage stress and emotions
• Build healthy boundaries
• Connect with others who truly understand
• Start separating their identity from family addiction

Group Focus

• Emotional support
• Understanding family dynamics
• Building coping skills
• Reducing shame and isolation
• Developing confidence and self-identity

This Therapy group will be held virtually Tuesdays from 5pm-6pm.

Dates: April 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th

Location: Virtually

Price: $75 Per Session

Ages: 13-18 years old

Must be located in California in order to participate.
